A game changer in neurodegeneration, healthy ageing and longevity.

Neuroplast is advancing Neuro-Cells®, an autologous bone marrow-derived stem cell therapy harnessing the body’s own regenerative capacity to treat neurological disease.

Building on encouraging Phase II clinical data, Neuroplast is advancing Neuro-Cells® in spinal cord injury (SCI).

Promising preclinical data combined with existing safety data are driving pipeline expansion into Alzheimer’s disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and healthy CNS ageing.

ABOUT US

Picture4.png

Inspired by nature. Using your own cell regeneration toolbox.
Made to reverse neurodegeneration. Made to improve lives.

Founded in Maastricht in 2017, Neuroplast develops regenerative therapies harnessing the body’s innate healing capacity. Its proprietary Neuro-Cells® product is an autologous bone marrow-derived stem cell therapy that preserves the regenerative potential of a patient’s own cells in its native form.

Neuroplast has completed Phase I and II trials in spinal cord injury (SCI), demonstrating a safe profile and clinical efficacy.

Neuroplast is advancing Neuro-Cells® in SCI, Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and healthy ageing, supported by Phase II clinical data and more than 21 peer-reviewed publications.

Our Mission

Develop safe and effective stem cell therapies that restore function and improve lives.

Our Vision

A world where neurodegenerative diseases are treatable and healthy ageing is achievable for all.

  • Is an autologous bone marrow-derived stem cell mixture, preserving the cells' natural adaptability without ex vivo modification.

  • Restores CNS homeostasis disrupted by neurodegeneration.

  • Favorable safety profile: autologous therapy with no graft-versus-host disease, no tumorigenicity observed,

  • Safety demonstrated in Phase I and II clinical SCI studies traumatic spinal cord injury.

Preserving nature’s adaptive cellular regeneration toolbox

Native cells. Smarter inflammation control.

Neuro-Cells® modulates harmful inflammatory responses, helping restore local homeostasis.

Inflammation Control

Replenish. Repair. Reconnect.

Neuro-Cells® supports resident cells, promotes tissue restoration, and helps rebuild damaged neural networks.

Regeneration & Repair

Restore balance. Enable repair.

Paracrine signaling creates a regenerative environment by reducing scarring and factors that inhibit axonal growth and reconnection.

Restore Homeostasis

Cells communicate. Repair begins.

Cell-to-cell signaling coordinates the local response, enabling the tissue’s intrinsic regenerative processes.

Paracrine Modulation

CLINICAL EVIDENCE

Phase II. Real data. Real impact.

Randomised, double-blinded Phase II trial in subacute spinal cord injury confirmed safety, showed  meaningful and durable improvements in motor and sensory function, and significantly:

  • improved neurogenic bowel function,

  • reduced neuropathic pain,

  • improved Quality of Life Score.

Improved neurogenic bowel function

Reduced neuropathic pain

Improved Quality of Life

Statistically significant improvement of bowel function. All early treated patients were continent.

Statistically significant reduction of neuropathic pain. No long-term use of opioids required.

Creates a therapeutic opportunity where no approved treatment provides meaningful, durable relief.

Bowel control and chronic pain relief belong to the top 6 QoL impacting factors. Recovery of bowel function is top-3 priority, pain is top-6 priority. Neuro-Cells® treatment has the potential to improve these functions.

Mode of Action: The Mixed Cell Population Secretome

  • Native stem and precursor cells secrete a cocktail of bioactive molecules called paracrine secretome, which influence nearby cells.

  • Efficacy from stem cells could be broader than may be expected from single compound modulating single biological target.

Mode of Action: Counteracting the Inflammasome

  • Neuro-Cells® reduces neuroinflammation by reducing serum cytokine levels in SCI patients and in animal models of SCI, ALS, AD.

  • Consistent with inhibition of inflammasome in microglia.

  • Neuro-Cells® also improved other hallmarks of neurodegeneration in animal models:

    • Preservation of neurons through reduced cell death

    • Prevention of formation of new amyloid plaques

    • Reduction of GSK-3β levels, could reduce twisted Tau fibers

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Phase II clinical evidence in spinal cord injury

Neuro-Cells® demonstrated a favorable safety profile and significant neurological and functional impro

vements in a Phase II SCI trial, and improvements in neurogenic bowel dysfunction and neuropathic pain. Clinical and preclinical findings support a strong anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effect, with reductions in serum levels of IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β. In a preclinical SCI model, Neuro-Cells® reduced neuroinflammation and spinal cord cell death and outperformed methylprednisolone. Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) granted.

Alzheimer's Disease (AD)

Promising preclinical evidence in Alzheimer’s disease

In a preclinical AD model, Neuro-Cells® significantly preserved cognitive function and reduced amyloid plaque formation. Neuro-Cells® targeted key drivers of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, significantly reducing IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β in the brain and limiting amyloid plaque and tau pathology.

Objective Phase 1b/2a trial

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

Promising preclinical evidence in ALS

Neuro-Cells® aims to slow ALS disease progression by preserving motor neuron and muscle function.

In a preclinical ALS model, Neuro-Cells® preserved limb function, protected motor neurons and muscle tissue, and reduced neuroinflammation—outperforming riluzole.

Objective Phase 1b/2a trial

Longevity & Healthy Ageing

Promising potential for CNS longevity

Across preclinical models and clinical trial, Neuro-Cells® preserved neurological function, protected neurons and reduced neuroinflammation—key biological processes associated with maintaining CNS resilience and function during ageing.

These findings support exploring Neuro-Cells® as an approach promoting healthy CNS ageing and extend neurological healthspan.

Future Program

Advancing Neuro-Cells® from Evidence to Access.
